PETER TRAN BIO
Peter Tran, a Georgia native from Warner Robins, is an Analystin Process Improvement and Operations at Houston Healthcare, Inc. in Middle Georgia. His focus on healthcare management and business operations is to optimize staff coordination and efficiency while improving the delivery of quality patient care. He is tremendously passionate about serving the Vietnamese community and believes strongly in educating, mentoring, and empowering the youth and future generations of Healthcare Professionals. Peter has more than 8 years of healthcare experience and provides a unique, multifaceted perspective to the VAHPAG team.
Peter is a member of multiple academic honor societies including Delta Omega in Public Health and Upsilon Phi Delta in Health Administration. He is a member of various state and national professional organizations including American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Healthcare by the Management and Strategy Institute and is pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) certification.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Public Health degree from Mercer University. Currently, he is enrolled at Georgia State University pursuing dual Master's degrees in Business Administration and Health Administration. He is expected to graduate in December of this year and is dedicated to serving his home state of Georgia.
